Weirich Consulting a (SDVOSB)is seeking seeking a Field Procurement Engineer.
Location: Aiken, SC
Assignment: 1 Year
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred. Substantial
greater numbers of years, at least seven (8) of practical background or
related experience in procurement or material management may substitute
for the higher degree requirement. Associate degree in business related
field and at least 4 years experience may also substitute for higher
degree requirement.
Experience/Skills:
Candidate must complete the training curriculum as part of the company’s
qualification process. Candidate must have strong problem solving,
analysis and interpersonal skills as well as oral and written
communication skills. Candidate must have the ability to walkdown and
interface with personnel and systems in the field. Demonstrated ability
to provide direction to others and to set priorities for self and
others. Candidate must have demonstrated proficiency with basic project
control software.
DUTIES:
Procurement of goods and services for the Operating, Project and Support
Divisions to support Site missions. Serve as an interface with
company’s Divisions for all acquisition and procurement needs. Assist in
the development of technical and quality requirements necessary for
installation of parts and materials into safety and safety-related
systems, structures and components. Interpretation of a multitude of
requirements ranging from federal regulations to site wide procedures
and policies to provide effective guidance and service in the
procurement process.
