The Finance team supports the operational effectiveness of the company. The
team is involved in analyzing financial figures, metrics and system and process
issues to support major decisions within the business. The key groups within
the Finance team include corporate and operational finance, internal teams
support, the controllers group, internal audit and risk advisory services,
taxation, treasury, corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions.
Within the Finance group, the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis
plays a critical role in the financial management and reporting of the business
units. We are looking for a dynamic and well organized individual, who is
detail-oriented and can work collaboratively with others. The candidate will
consolidate report and analyse financial performance by conducting financial
analyses, planning, and forecasting, and prepare and review management
reporting.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
- Coordinate and consolidate the monthly and quarterly financial reporting
and headcount tracking for the Finance groups and be the main contact for the
results primes.
- Coordinate and consolidate the financial results and headcount reporting
during the YEE and Budget cycles. Schedule internal deadlines in order to meet
corporate requirements, build templates for the budget primes, complete
financial packages with comments, upload financial data and headcount as
required.
- Preparation of the monthly VP reporting Package.
- Perform various financial analysis in context of financial results.
- Ensure financial integrity of information presented. Improve the
financial reports reliability, accuracy, clarity and production time.
- Recommend and implement “process improvement” within the team,
identifying areas of overlap and potential efficiency gains
- Perform ad-hoc analysis & special reports to support decision making
and the resolution of issues
- Account reconciliations and journal entries when needed
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel as well as proficiency with other
financial tools SAP, BI and BPC
- 3 years of financial/accounting experience or equivalent
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Confident with strong leadership and communication/presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues /organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
- Accounting designation (CPA - CA, CMA, CGA)
- Experience amalgamating multiple financial systems
- Knowledge of BI, BPC and SAP
- Good understanding of accounting principles and SOx processes
- Bilingual preferred (French and English)
- Experience working with Senior Management
