UN DPI News and Media Division
TASK

The UN - Department of Public Information (DPI) - News and Media Division (NMD) - Partnerships Unit (PU), is currently looking for the support of experienced online volunteers to translate and proofread our media promotional materials from English into the other 5 official UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, and Russian) and more (Portuguese and Kiswahili).

Explicit credit will be awarded to the responsible online volunteers.
Translation document: original will be provided in English, 94-2,118 words.

Deadline: as soon as possible
Expected duration: 1-4 weeks

Support: UN terminology website and similar materials (when available) in the translated language will be provided

Communication: email communication directly with the focal point in the Partnerships Unit which is overseeing this project
Number of volunteers: 2

The UN - Department of Public Information (DPI) - News and Media Division (NMD) produces and publishes news and information on the UN's priorities and activities, and builds partnerships with media organizations and other target audiences. It helps and supports the work of journalists and news organizations covering the work of the United Nations.

Fluent in English
Experience with translation, familiar with UN language and terms, past experience with UN translation a plus.
