We are looking for an intern to work with our Web Team on improving our
web properties. In this role, your
work will be seen by millions. You
will use your talent to help further connect our web visitors to our
programs in the United States and on the ground in Central Africa. You
will be a part of a team in San Diego that is using some of the latest
web technologies (PHP, WordPress VIP, Git, SVN, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3,
MySQL) to help bring an end to LRA violence in central Africa. How rad

During your internship you’ll have a chance to: - Build HTML emails that
are sent to millions - Learn PHP in order to make changes to our
WordPress templates - Learn to use JavaScript (the jQuery library),
HTML5, and CSS3 to develop seamless experiences for users on our new
pages - Participate in meetings with other departments at Invisible
Children to understand their needs for developing new web projects -
Attend meetups in the San Diego area to meet other web developers and
grow your network and knowledge - Brainstorm and develop one side
project, due at the end of your internship
We're looking for someone who has: - Messed around with HTML, JavaScript
and/or PHP - A fire in your belly to learn as much as you can - The
patience and tolerance to make mistakes - A desire to grow yourself as a
web developer
