JOB SUMMARY
Reflective of IMC strategic planning priorities, the incumbent is
responsible for securing, applying, upgrading and maintaining the
services of best available technically qualified human resources (HR) in
line with International Medical Corps standards. The Senior Director of
HR will report directly to Vice President of Finance and will be
responsible for both corporate and International HR and the ability to
partner with all departments within International Medical Corps.
RESPONSIBILITIES: •The
Senior Director, HR will provide strategic HR support, deliver HR
programs, and drive best in class initiatives in the areas of leadership
development, learning & Development, staff well being, workforce
planning, coaching, pension planning, recruiting, and all other parts of
international and corporate human resources.
•The successful
candidate will manage all corporate and international human resources
staff, providing strategic thought leadership, preparing executive level
presentations, as well as directing short-term tactical initiatives and
plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Must be eligible to work
in the United States and frequent travel may be required between the
Washington, DC and Santa Monica, Ca offices as well as the international
program.
•Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college
or university in Business Administration, International Relations, Human
Resources •The ideal candidate will have 10+ years HR experience and
will have served in a variety of HR roles (both staff and managerial)
which will include prior service within an International NGO
organization. •Excellent communication skills (both verbal &
written) with a proven track record of building and leveraging
relationships at multiple levels within an organization required.
•Must be seen as a trusted advisor.
•Must
have the ability to effectively balance both strategic planning and
daily execution with a proven track record of delivering results in a
changing and growing environment.
•Must have the ability to use
both business and people lenses (as well as considering global
implications) when making recommendations and/or decisions.
English required but French or Arabic a plus
