Position:
Reporting to the Superintendent Production Control and Improvement, you will produce the production standards, operating procedures and control systems that ensure critical controls of production processes exist and are effective. You will conduct production system monitoring and analysis and identify improvements to production systems and practices to achieve and maintain the predictable, stable and required levels of operating performance within HSEC requirements.
Your duties will include:
·             Identifying, designing, analysing and improving standards and critical controls required to manage HSEC and operational material risks, legal obligations and GLD requirements owned by the Production Function;
·             Ensuring relevant standard operating procedures are developed to support the safe execution of production work;
·             Leading investigations of relevant events using 1SAP Work Management;
·             Ensuring alignment of production equipment work strategies in 1SAP to routine work performed using the Work Management processes;
·             Monitoring and reporting product quality and production equipment process performance;
·             Initiating and executing improvement activities for production execution improvements;
·             Undertaking procedural review activities related to control of the production processes;
·             Monitoring product quality and equipment process performance, including analysis and reporting from fleet management systems;
·             Taking accountability for the performance of the production team and ensuring quality of tasks, services and advice provided to other operations.

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related field and 5 years' experience in mining or heavy industry. Highly developed interpersonal skills, combined with demonstrated advanced analytical skills and an ability to facilitate and lead team work will prove essential to perform this role. Prior experience in a business improvement role will be highly regarded, as will experience leading ICAMs or other investigations.
