Job description

IBM is seeking a software pre-sales Rep responsible for selling IBM zSecure offerings directly to customers.

Subject matter expert in zSecurity trends and imperatives. Will provide thought leadership, strategy and executive presence to expand zSecurity software sales. Part of a highly matrixed team including client executives, software brand reps, GBS services, and independent software vendor (ISV) partners. To be successful in this role, you must have:

excellent presentation and product skills

experience with z platform products and specific security software solutions (including IBM RACF and zSecure, and Computer Associates Top Secret and ACF2 products)

strong knowledge of selling/deploying security solutions in all industries.

You will work closely with SW Brand Specialists, SW Client Leads, Client Reps, Client Architects, and Client Technical Professional.

This role is part of a North America Security team, and some travel to Canada may be required.

Required

    At least 3 years experience in consultative selling

    At least 3 years experience in negotiations

    At least 3 years experience in working in a z/OS environment or selling z/OS products

    Readiness to travel 50% travel annually

    English: Fluent

Preferred

    Bachelor's Degree

    At least 5 years experience in consultative selling

    At least 5 years experience in negotiations

    At least 5 years experience in working in a z/OS environment or selling z/OS products

    Certified in CISSP or other security certifications
