The Position
WASEP facilitates village communities and civil society in the implementation of an integrated programme comprising of six core components: community mobilisation and participation, health and hygiene education, potable water supply infrastructure, household sanitation infrastructure, water quality management and gray water drainage infrastructure. The programme operates in the rural high mountain areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral regions.

Role Description:

  • Overall programme management including planning, operations, monitoring and reporting of all six core components of WASEP.
  • Coordination and direction of projects, preparation of work plans to accomplish programme objectives.
  • Presentation and explanation of proposals, reports and findings of all projects.
  • Preparation of programmatic budgets.
  • Ensuring efficiency, time and quality compliance of all initiatives.
  • Assigning, directing and evaluating technical staff work and overseeing the development and evaluation of staff competence.


The Requirements
Specifications:

  • The successful candidate must have a proven track record of technical excellence, initiative and sound interpersonal skills for effectiveness at a senior management level of a large, donor-funded, community development project.
  •  The candidate should possess post-graduate degree from a foreign reputable university preferably in Water/ Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering. 
  • The person must have experience of working with and liaison with international donor agencies. 
  • The candidate should possess excellent capacity building and monitoring skills.

The position will be based in Gilgit and requires extensive travelling across Northern Pakistan. The salary package of incumbent will depend upon qualification and experience.
