We currently have a full time permanent position available as a Weighbridge Operator at our Mt Isa Quarry. This position is on a residential basis, not FIFO. Our Mt Isa Quarry operates on a predominately day shift basis. Overtime will be paid at competitive industry rates.
Reporting to the Quarry Manager, duties and responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:
Operate the weighbridge, which involves ticketing of incoming and outgoing trucks;
Prepare and process dockets;
Receive and manage enquiries from customers, contractors and employees;
Receive and inspect raw material deliveries;
Handle COD (eftpos, cash and cheques) sales including banking summaries;
Complete administrative duties, as required; and
Ensure all visitors to the weighbridge office/site adhere to OHS requirements and induction procedures.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn;
- Previous experience in administrative operations;
- Quarry or mining industry experience is preferred but not essential;
- Strong people skills and communication skills;
- Proficient computer skills;
- Strong customer focus; and
- Good organisational skills.
