Job Details
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Tutor with maths or English subject specialism to deliver Functional Skills as part of an apprenticeship framework. The successful candidate will join the existing Functional Skills team and work closely with the vocational teams. You will be required to cover the North East region and there will be a requirement to travel and an essential car user allowance is payable. The position is 12 months fixed term to cover maternity leave
Key responsibilities:
- To deliver Initial and Diagnostic Assessment,
- To plan, prepare and deliver maths and English Functional Skills qualificationsthrough individual and group teaching and support.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in teaching maths and English to adult learners
- Subject specialist qualification in maths or English at Level 5
- Excellent written and verbal communication and ICT Skills
- Must be prepared to travel within the region and have a car available for work
Must be able to work on own initiative and achieve agreed targets
