Conservation International is looking for an intern to work with Field Program Management, which seeks to align, advocate for, and support CI's field programs at a global level.
Reporting to the Coordinator and Vice President of Field Program Management, the research intern is responsible for supplying broad support to field teams. The intern will assist Field Program Management in research and analysis projects for three days per week. This position will support Field Program Management's roles of documenting and disseminating key successes and achievements, ensuring quality and consistency of plans and materials developed across Field Divisions, and ensuring alignment of Field Programs within the institution and amongst themselves.
Tasks will include researching and disseminating information on field program projects, generating background information for workshops and meetings, creating digital communications materials, and assisting visiting field staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategy Development & Implementation
- Research, document and disseminate key successes and achievements from field programs, ensuring quality and consistency of plans and materials.
- Fundraising
- Generate background information in preparation for high-level meetings.
- Team Support
- Assist coordinator with team support as necessary (this may include setting up meetings and assisting visiting field staff).
Working Conditions:
- This internship is based in CI Headquarters in Arlington, VA
- Flexible hours approximately 24 per week
- Normal office environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Must be working towards a degree in related field.
- Fluency in English with clear and concise verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience in research, particularly online research
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Passion for conservation of nature and a commitment to Conservation International's vision and mission.
Preferred:
- Work experience in related field.
- Graphic design experience is a plus, for creating and improving communications materials.
- Able to speak a language of our field program interventions (French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc
