Background
In December 2006, UNDP and the Government of Spain signed a major agreement to programme €528 million through the UN development system towards key MDG and related development goals. The MDG Achievement Fund (MDG-F) seeks to accelerate progress towards attainment of the MDGs in participating countries by supporting policies that promise high impact, scaling-up of successful models, and innovations in development practice. Duties and Responsibilities
- The purpose of this intern ship is to support the MDG-F Secretariat in its communication strategy & activities in Spain in order to disseminate publicly its final results and lessons learned.
- The required tasks to be performed to support the Spain’s Communications consultant include:
- Produce written content for press releases, media content, reports and brochures.
- Edit social media content as Facebook and Twitter.
- Support in media relations and events management.

Eligibility
- Enrolled in a degree programme in a graduate school (second university degree or higher) at the time of application and during the internship (if a candidate is graduating before the internship period begins, they are no longer eligible); or
- Have completed at least four years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a degree, if pursuing their studies in countries where higher education is not divided into undergraduate and graduate stages;
- Not to have graduated prior to the beginning of the internship.
Experience:
Computer literate in standard software applications
Language:
Proficiency in Spanish and English.
Excellent writing skills.
Important information:
Interns are not financially remunerated by UNDP.
UNDP accepts no responsibility for the medical and life insurance of the intern or costs arising from accidents and illness incurred during an internship.
The purpose of the Internship Programme is not to lead to further employment with UNDP but to complement an intern’s studies. Therefore, there should be no expectation of employment at the end of an internship.
