About the Job:
Accion East and Online is seeking a Bilingual Loan Consultant - New York. S/he will act as the point of contact for Accion's prospective primarily Hispanic borrowers.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Identify, initiate, and manage strategic community partnerships that increase quality referrals;
- Identify small business owners who need financing and have them apply for a loan;
- Assist clients in the preparation of loan applications;
- Ensure strong loan performance, including on time payments;
- Able to generate leads through proactive outreach efforts.
Qualifications:
- Prior lending experience;
- Bilingual - Spanish/English;
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in small business, prior business experience preferred;
- Good presentation and communication skills;
- Knowledge of Word and Excel, good math skills;
- Excellence at customer service;
- Sales skills/experience;
- Self-driven, independent, and goal-oriented;
- Willingness to work nights and weekends, when needed.
