Business Process and
Data Coach - Finance

An outstanding opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and
experienced professional to become part of our team based in Saskatoon, SK. Reporting to the Finance Business Process and
Data Lead, this is an exciting opportunity to be support and manage project
related finance activities in regards to process improvements, design fixes or
company restructures within the SAP framework. In addition, this position will
support the effective use of the SAP system to drive standardization and
simplification of the SAP processes.
Key responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
Demonstrate an
overriding commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibility
Act as a 'key
user', effectively coaching and advising end-users on SAP Processes (including
supporting training where required)
Conduct regular
embedment checks to ensure adherence to SAP Finance processes.
Track and Analyze
key performance indicators and metrics and maintain integrity of financial
reporting processes with focus on day to day activities to ensure compliance
with internal controls and accounting standards and policy.
Gather and analyze
Finance department related data, prioritizing, making recommendations and
implementing projects to align SAP processes and data requirements, as well as
reporting on project milestones.
Filter, test and
roll-out process improvements to the SAP design.
Act as a tie in
point between the business and its various support groups. This includes triage
of issues surrounding business process such that system issues are directed to
the correct support group.
Provide direction
to the team to ensure delivery against plans; Guide and support individual team
members and promote a culture of continuous improvement; Cultivate positive
relationships through effective communication and provide constructive feedback
to peers on a regular basis.
Key requirements:
We are seeking a candidate with a vast understanding and
demonstrated experience in SAP Finance processes and procedures. Along with a
degree in a relevant financial, commercial or technical discipline and a post
graduate finance qualification (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) you have understanding and
demonstrated experience in SAP Finance processes and procedures. With 2-4
years' experience in the financial reporting area, preferably within the mining
sector, the successful candidate will be able to collaborate with internal
stakeholders at all levels.
