CAFOD’s Programmes Department in the International Division is seeking a Head of Region to hold the
strategic oversight for all our programmes in Horn & East Africa, ensuring that the direction and ways of working within the region reflect and inform CAFOD’s organisational direction, identity and values.
The post holder will ensure the effective delivery of CAFOD’s organisational strategic framework (Just One World) through country/sub-regional strategies and operational plans within the region, providing leadership, guidance and support to the regional team, in close collaboration with CAFOD’s key stakeholders both within and outside the International Division.
We are looking for an experienced strategic leader, who understands the role of the Catholic Church in development and humanitarian work, and brings substantial work experience of partnership-based approaches to international development. S/he should be able to effectively lead and support staff at distance as the post is based in London, while the regional team is mainly overseas-based.
