Position Synopsis:
As the Superintendent Safety Improvement, you
will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of the Safety
Improvement sub-function.
You will assist with the definition of standards and
work plans, including 1SAP work strategies required to effectively manage
risks, issues, controls, legal obligations and internal compliance
requirements, which are owned by the Emergency Services and Security
department.
You will also be responsible for:

Analysing data to identify trends that will
contribute to the improvement in risk management and the reduction of injuries
·
Working
with the Specialists of the Safety Improvement sub-function and Operations to
design safety improvement initiatives
·
Identifying, formulating and designing standards
and work strategies to manage safety owned risks as per 1SAP work management
·
Analysing and improvement of safety tasks
and updating master data in 1SAP as required
·
Supporting the management, execution and
compliance of the HSE governance program
·
Implementation of the safety component of
the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
improvement function mandate
·
Provide
expert advice to line management in relation to management of regulatory and
GLD requirements

Skills & Experience
To be considered for this exciting opportunity
you will have strong demonstrated experience within HSE having an extensive
knowledge and understanding of key concepts, theories and best practice related
to the control of HSE related risks.
You will have extensive operational experience,
ideally within a supervisory role where you have lead and mentored high
performing teams. You will have highly developed stakeholder engagement skills,
with the ability to communicate and influence effectively across all levels of
the organisation.
Relevant tertiary qualifications will be seen as
highly desirable.

Located 560 kilometres north of Adelaide, South
Australia, Olympic Dam is Australia's largest underground mine, incorporating a
complex minerals processing operation, producing copper cathode, uranium oxide
concentrate, gold and silver.
This role is based in Roxby Downs, a thriving
community of 4,500 people, with the highest standard of infrastructure in
roads, buildings and business facilities. An active and progressive
administration and community network support it. Roxby Downs is home to a
variety of modern, well equipped educational, health, sporting, leisure,
shopping and cultural facilities.
