About the company and site:
BMA is the world's largest supplier of seaborne
metallurgical coal to the global steel industry. Broadmeadow Mine is an
underground operation that uses a punch longwall method to extract coal.
Broadmeadow coal is blended with open cut coal from Goonyella Riverside Mine to
produce Goonyella Coking Coal. The mine is located north of the Moranbah
township.
About the role:
Career opportunity is available in our
Maintenance Analysis and Improvement team for a suitably trained and qualified
Maintenance Professional. You will develop, deploy, and continuously improve
maintenance work management strategies for either longwall or development
equipment. You will ensure compliance to work plans and statutory and
legislative requirements and provide organisational governance.
Key responsibilities of the role include:

Implementing BMA safety standards and core
values;
·
Leading
process improvements to ensure optimised performance;
·
Conducting reliability studies on either
longwall or development equipment;
·
Data
analysis of maintenance history to determine short and long term strategies;
·
Lead
and participate in site based improvement projects, as required;
·
Perform
equipment strategy reviews and failure analysis to ensure that all task lists
and work instructions remain accurate and relevant;
·
Update
task lists/work instructions and all relevant master data;
·
Development of maintenance budgets; and
·
Promote
understanding and compliance to site work management principles.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Engineering or post trade qualifications with experience in a similar
reliability role;
Extensive knowledge of preventative maintenance, equipment strategy
development and reliability analysis;
Relevant experience with underground equipment, longwall or development
is preferred;
Passion
to work in a team environment with demonstrable leadership; and
Strong
interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
This position is an integral part of the
Maintenance team. You will be required
to interact with all employees, departments and contractors to develop and
implement sustainable solutions and ultimately improve performance.
