The Position
The French Medical Institute for Children (FMIC) was founded
in 2006 in a unique public-private partnership between the Governments of
Afghanistan & France, a French NGO ' La Chaine de L'Espoir and the Aga Khan
Development Network through the Aga Khan University Hospital. The Institute has
risen to the challenge of charting a course towards sustainable health
solutions for Afghanistan. FMIC provides medical and surgical health care
services for pediatric patients and outpatient services to adult as well with
wide variety of diagnostic services. FMIC plans to expand towards obstetrics
and neonatology services in order to further contribute to the international
efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality in Afghanistan.
FMIC invites applications for the post of Cardiac Surgeon.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Assessment and surgical treatment of patients suffering from
cardiac diseases.
Close cooperation with department of cardiology.
Capacity building of local staff.
Establishing compliance with quality assurance programs.
The Requirements
The selected candidates must have:
Medical Degree from reputable Institution.
Credentials as Cardiac Surgeon.
Experience of Cardiac Surgery for 3 years, experience of
Pediatric Cardiac Surgery will be preferred.
Computer skills in MS-Office.
Excellent Interpersonal and English language skills.
