Overview:
The Knowledge and Skills Development Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting the competency and knowledge drive of the production and technical department. The incumbent will be responsible for the following key deliverables within the department:
 Job profiling and assessments
 Skills training, evaluation and reporting
 E-Learning management System
 Learning content management system
 Employee development and talent management
 Knowledge management
The role is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified industrial psychologist with an interest in knowledge management and the development of employees in a manufacturing and technical environment. The management position will work closely with fellow members of the production and technical management team and the company HR personnel.

Qualifications:
Qualification and Experience
 Educated to University degree/masters level, preferably in industrial psychology
 Professional qualification/experience of working with people development initiatives

Experience:
 Three to five years’ work experience in compiling and managing of competency based job profiles and employee assessments
 Experience in knowledge management, project management, people development, and reporting systems is desirable
 Proficient in English
 Valid driver licence (code 8)
 Computer literate

Duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Develop, manage and maintain the competency framework of the production and technical department, which include job profiling, training needs analysis, training plans, etc.
 Analyse job requirements and content in order to establish criteria for classification, selection, training, and other personnel development functions
 Develop testing and evaluation procedures
 Develop, manage and maintain the learning management system (LMS) of the production and technical department
 Oversee and manage the learning content management system (LCMS) of the production and technical department
 Oversee and manage all skills training of the production and technical department
 Oversee and manage the knowledge management framework of the production and technical department
 Oversee the identification and development of talent at all levels within the production and technical department
 Working with leadership team to identify training needs and trends within the business
 Advice plant management on training and development interventions
 Liaise with company human resources management and other management on relevant policies and standards
 Ensure timeous reporting of key performance indicators to all stake holders
 Ensure compliance with document control requirements
