Overview:
The position requires a dynamic systems individual to become part of the QI Team of Omnia Group IT. The position is based in Bryanston and reports to the General Manager IT (Group).
The System Analyst will be responsible for tasks related to Software and Integration Development on a variety of projects and system improvement functions.

Qualifications:
Minimum. Matric, but Tertiary IT/Business Qualifications will be an advantage
5 Years Software development experience.
Experience in Technical ERP Systems support

Experience:
Technology knowledge and experience in the following will be an advantage:
•ERP knowledge QAD or any ERP
•Knowledge of database architecture and design
•Development experience: Progress, SQL, Transact SQL, VB and .Net.
•Development experience of Web services and XML (Knowledge of Biztalk will be an advantage).
•Knowledge of HTML 5 or web Development
•Database Knowledge: MS SQL and Progress
•Operating systems understanding: AIX, Unix MS Windows
•Business Process and Accounting Knowledge

Duties:

• Support on Omnia Applications including QAD Developments
• Software Programming / Development including:
• Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents (and in some cases develop the specifications).
• Program to written technical specifications and using the required development toolkits.
• Investigate, analyze and document reported defects.
• Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
• Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses.Create and maintain technical documentation Software and System integration
• Software Testing
• Database / System Administration for Progress
