Opportunity Details:
The IS Communications Co-op Student is responsible for designing and
developing written and graphic communications for Husky's Information Services
department including internal marketing collateral for print and intranet. The
IS Communications Co-op Student will work with the IS Communications team to
ensure that departmental and corporate branding guidelines are followed and that
stakeholder communication needs are met.
Key Responsibilities may involve:
· Prepare routine (and ad hoc) communications to build awareness of
initiatives across the organization
· Ensure the content of documentation (text and graphics) is consistent
in message, terminology, format, and style
· Develop and design communications that articulate the change from
current to future state in terminology that stakeholders will understand
· Design and develop communications that leverage existing vehicles to
build stakeholder engagement and awareness of the change as defined by change
management plans
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in a University Co-op or Internship program
- Minimum of 3 years training in post-secondary graphic design, multimedia design, or communications program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) is required
- Previous work experience in graphic design, multimedia design or communications field would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of Camtasia Studio, HTML 5/CSS 3/jQuery and ASP Classic/mySQL is considered an asset
- Proficiency in Illustrator and Dreamweaver is considered an asset
Relocation:
Students moving to Calgary for their work term may be eligible to receive a
lump sum payment to assist with relocation expenses.
