Job Title: Co-op Student, Oil Sands Project Development
Location: Calgary, AB
Start Date: May 2014
Length of Term: 8, 12 or 16 months
Business Unit: Oil Sands Commercial and Development

Opportunity Details:
Key Responsibilities may involve:
  • Developing project scopes and other documents
  • Building schedules
  • Estimating costs
  • Technical studies
  • Managing a project under the supervision of a project lead
  • Site visits to the field, in some cases, will require overnight stays in the Construction Camp

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a University Co-op or Internship program
  • Strong academic background engineering, preferably in mechanical or chemical
  • Completion of 3rd or 4th year preferred
  • Computer skills (MS Office and databases) are essential
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Effective written and oral communication skills

Students with field experience may be given first consideration for this position. If you do not yet have field experience, please apply for one of field positions located in Ram River, Cold Lake, Lloydminster, etc.

Relocation:

Students moving to Calgary for their work term may be eligible to receive a lump sum payment to assist with relocation expenses.

Safety:
This is a safety sensitive role and as such you will be required to undergo safety training and wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during field visits.
