The Position
Reporting to the Coordinator Purchasing, you will be
responsible for carrying out purchasing activities as instructed and in line
with BHP Billiton standards, processes and procedures. Your duties will include:
Ensuring timely
and accurate execution of all purchasing activities including expediting and
clearing blocked invoices;
Assisting with
requests from vendors and internal clients in a professional and timely manner;
Performing end to
end supplier activities, including assisting with queries and closing of
purchase orders;
Closely
collaborating with Work Management, Production and Inventory Management;
Maintaining
effective relationships with suppliers;
Building and
developing relationships with key stakeholders.

Skills and Experience
In order to be successful in this role you will have
Purchasing experience, ideally within SAP or a computer based Purchasing
system. You will have experience with contracts, terms and conditions and
invoicing. In addition to your proficiency with the Microsoft Programs, you
will need to have excellent communication skills to allow you to engage with
your stakeholders, both internal and external.
As part of the recruitment process for this position you may
